The definition of Affirmative Action is defined as a set of rules/procedures designed to eliminate unlawful discrimination among applicants. Applicants may be seeking admission to an educational program/college or looking for professional employment/jobs, however due to the supreme court’s reversal of Affirmative action by (republicans justices, including a black justice, Clearance Thomas) as all through history there has been Black sell-outs of its people. Now! With the reversal of Affirmative Action Blacks can be legally discriminated against openly and nothing can be done about it! This decision today is much worse than the discrimination in the 50’s and 60’s because blacks were more together than this present day. The two most important things for survival today are higher Education and professional jobs, especially for future advancement in this upcoming world of technology. Blacks have been and are being shut out discriminately based on characteristics such as race, sex, age, religion or sexual orientation. The future has changed, as I saw and heard an Asian man say the reversal of affirmative action was a good thing, give that some thought! I have often asked myself why African people are so poor owning a country with the majority of the world’s wealth, yet they have nothing? Now! I know why, African people were Dancing to the beat of their drums and looking to the skies while losing everything based on outsider’s lies. This is what has happened to Blacks here in America, we came out of slavery, or should I say we were allowed to make money, get educated, and build businesses, but what did we do with these opportunities? We spent decades not seeing the real pictures because of wanting to be accepted as equals by our slave masters something that would never happen. While not focusing on the real issues of getting a proper education, family values, and not forgetting the opportunities of which blacks before Us fought and dies providing this future for Us and our children. Today looking back, we did not work in the best interest of our people. We were too busy dancing to the Rapp and worshiping the lies and forgetting our past and future. History is repeating itself in the worst way today. Racism thrives in hard economic times and this supreme court ruling against affirmative action is by the hands of Republicans wide reaching. Asian People from other countries come to America, set up business in the black communities, get rich and help their people. For some reason, we/Blacks can’t help our own people to grow economically. We have top Educators, Black billionaires, millionaires, and business owners, for years? Almost three quarters of a century later, economically Blacks are on the bottom No Black community businesses, No Black neighborhoods being developed by blacks, no quality schools and colleges being invested in by blacks. This is a reflection of our lack of concern for our survival as a people by those who can make a difference, while buying their mansions, yachts, fleets of automobiles, rooms full of expensive watches and so much more, along with regular people not doing their part. The point I’m making is, Black money has not been spent for the advancing of our people to economic freedom and providing a solid foundation for our future generations. All of our wealth we gave back to the slave masters and others wanting to get their race ahead in this world. Black Americans to this day are on the bottom of the economic chain in this country and around the world. Take a look at Africa, it is a damn shame how Africans are living. As it is a damn shame what we Black Americans have allowed to happen to our race economically here in America, and Africa the birthplace of humanity is a forgotten continent by most African Americans.
