I feel too many titles are given, or not knowing what to expect from individuals simply because of their title. In so many cases a title is just that, a title and nothing more until actions have given it meaning. An individual can go to college to study American History, get the title of professor, goes around to different high schools giving lectures on wars, yet have never seen a real battlefield nor been in a war. A man or woman who has seen a battlefield and been in a war can deliver a lecture on wars that the college professor could never deliver because those men and women know what it feels like to see and face death. The emotions of actually being in war are being delivered as well as being felt by the audience, making a huge difference. This is what I find is missing today, everyone has titles, with little or no experience, and wondering why people with problems seem to be making less and less progress. Titles, medals without valor. This is why a title should be earned not given, as in the olden days. On-the-job training is where you really learn, and these schools should be brought back. A college education is great, but in some cases, I find it overrated and too expensive.
