Using commonsense I believe nothing of what I hear and only part of what I see. The meaning of NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization the purpose of which is to ensure collective defence for its members around the world. They join together to get military protection and stability of their regions provided by the U S, Canada and Western European nations. The protection was against the Soviet Union. The Ukraine War could have been avoided providing the U S and Russia would have sat down to work things out. The ending of this war will come when the two sides sit down and work things out! Using commonsense, this Ukraine war is about Putin was not having U S weapons on Russia’s borders and not having Ukraine joined NATO. America went through something similar during the Cuban crisis when J F K was president, if you can recall, when our President did not allow Russia to put weapons in Cuba. I don’t think President Putin is very happy how this war with Ukraine is turning out, frankly speaking just the opposite is happening which is the uniting of NATO. I think Finland and Sweden was accepted into NATO after the starting of the Ukraine war. This war benefits the Ukrainians and the U S because now NATO borders will have missiles stationed there for peace. When the war is over Ukraine will be accepted into NATO, not now because such an action now would bring America directly into this war with Russia and risk a major escalation of the war. President Putin had a choice, but now Russia is boxed in along on all sides of its borders with possibly missiles securing peace. The countries (33) belonging to NATO are all under the umbrella of the most powerful country in the world the (USA) if there are ever any future conflicts. This war is a lose, lose for Putin. A wounded animal with nuke’s can be very dangerous, problems can and should be solved with commonsense not wars.
